Celebrating the Light of the world...

December, with all its magic and wonder, snuck up quickly this year.

Days were filled with celebrating Advent, preparing our hearts for the coming of our Savior, the one who gives hope and is hope. The one everlasting LIGHT in this world.

Crafting, music, flickering candles, the scent of cookies wafting through the air also filled the space between the walls of our home.

Time spent with family and friends warmed the soul. And the bright twinkling lights outside the window warmed the cold dark nights.

It was a lovely time.

And when the day of gift-giving came to an end and the wrappings were thrown away and new gifts put away, there was still that one GREAT GIFT that always waits to be opened each day of the year.

And because of this GIFT, the excitement and anticipation of Christmas can burn on every day in the heart of man.

And the receiver of this GIFT must never have to experience the post-Christmas blues. For even as  much-anticipated earthly gifts grow old and tarnished, His GIFT of love-come-down-to-earth never grows out-of-date, never breaks, never spoils, never disappoints. His GIFT of love is eternal.

An eternal gift meant to be unwrapped each day, each moment we live.

Because even when the world disappoints, we can always find hope and light in Him.

He is the Giver of light, love, hope, and breath. The Giver of all good things.

Praying you all had a very blessed Christmas and are looking forward to a New Year filled with an overwhelming awareness of His love for you...

Love,
Amber

@ Marie - Not sure that you'll see this comment back to you, but I was hoping that you still read my blog and would see your ornament! I love it! I also have the snowflakes on our tree as well! Thanks for commenting!
