A Crochet Kind of Morning

My mind has been consumed by crochet lately. Projects, ideas, colors, patterns have been floating around in this mind of mine.

And I'm starting to get ready for my very first craft show! Squeal! I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that my friends Cher and Terri are into craft shows, and the idea has become appealing to me. I went and hung out with them for a couple of hours at our local Pumpkin Fest and had so much fun.

(Some fall pears I'm working on as a home decor project.)

But now I need to figure out how to work crocheting for profit (albeit small profit) into my schedule without it interrupting our family and schooling schedule. My wise sister suggested, fitting in 1 1/2 hours each afternoon after all schooling is done and before dinner needs started to devote to business stuff. So I think I'm going to give that a try starting today.

But it has been a crocheting kind of morning so far. Lily and Ian have both been working on perfecting their chain stitches. Lily is almost ready to learn the single crochet stitch, which is so exciting to both her and me!

Lily's also got a loom project in the works. She's using the knitting loom to make a hat for a little friend of hers.

I love having a crafty little girl. Just like her mama. It can make for some pretty enjoyable "girl time." Last night we both sat working on our crochet, her sipping earl grey tea and me sipping my decaf coffee. It was quite lovely.

And I am still busy stitching up a bunch of these pumpkin hats. They are still available for purchase for $10 each.

Size x-small (newborn)
Size small (6-12 months)
Size medium (2-4 years)

If you are interested in purchasing one, please contact me using the "contact me" link at the top of my blog, and I can send you a Paypal invoice and work out shipping details. Eventually I'd like to get an Etsy shop set up, but that will come with time I think!

Well, I pray that you all have a most blessed fall day!
