Saturday Evening Reflections...

Snow, snow comes falling down...

After a relaxing day spent in our cozy home, family together creating, sewing, making birdie treats, building birdboxes, I'm standing at the kitchen sink, sink full of warm, soapy water, washing dishes by hand. Something I find satisfaction in when I'm not rushing...

Looking out my window, out into the big backyard we've been blessed with, admiring the snow God is pouring out of the heavens this day...

Listening to hymns on Pandora. Clinging to the promises of my Lord. The promises that strengthen this weak, feeble soul of mine. Because when the shadows feel close and cold, when they threaten to knock me down, His Word brings light and warmth.

Shine on me, Lord.

A most blessed weekend to you and yours...

What a peaceful, heartwarming post, Amber. I know what you mean about the peace in washing dishes by hand at the kitchen sink, lost in His thoughts, hearing music that honors Him. I believe the only thing nicer than what you, or I described, is doing the same thing except with my daughters experiencing it along with me. These are the moments when I feel as if my heart will burst ... and I cherish them.

We too received snow this morning and it is lovely. Days like this are made for a crackling fire and fresh brewed maple coffee, enjoying the family. I pray you have a blessed weekend.

In Him ~

Ladies, I WISH we would get some snow! I would like about 8 - 10 inches. I love to stay home with my kids for about 3 snow days... I can afford to be off work about that many days...:) It has been really cold here today. we are staying in.
Enjoy your weekend in and your relaxing environment!

My dad was playing some Christian music from the Christian band "Love Song" It's really nice to literally fill the house with praises :) :) Have a great Sunday. Love and hugs from the ocean shores of California, Heather :)
