Free to Fly

Today we released the Painted Lady butterflies that we have been raising.

All five catepillars we received survived and turned into beautiful butterflies.

It was an amazing learning experience, to see the metamorphosis from start to finish.

One of the butterflies didn't want to leave. It kept flying back to Lily and landing on her so we brought it back into the house to keep for awhile longer. Lily named her Sarah. :)
