A sure sign that summer's coming to an end...

I can't believe it's true. Next week is the first of September. Our summer here was so cool and strange this year that it just doesn't seem right to be ending already. But as I stacked the canned salsa on my can cellar shelves this morning, I was met with the realization that fall is indeed right around the corner.

Because I saw this...

And this...

And who can deny fall when you see these...

Oh, goodness. Where did summer go?

Oh, I know. Where did summer go? We have gotten our watermelons and cantaloupes in. Yum, and picked some pumpkins as well. And my shelves are becoming full to. Praise the Lord for such a wonderful bountiful harvest this year. But I really think I'm over zucchini til next year...heehee. I did however get a bunch vacuum sealed and into the freezer.
Have a blessed school year, and fall.

I love your canned goods, and wish I had planted some pumpkins. Maybe you could share some of your gardening tips with all of us. Jackie
