Progress on the Homestead Homefront...

My "kitchen garden" raised beds being lovingly built by my wonderful husband...

Our new mini orchard planted. Plums, pears, apples, and peaches...

Tarragon among other herbs showing up a bit earlier than usual...

Lilies poking through the mulch...

One of many hostas turning their faces to the sky...

Lily's newly painted bird house waiting for a new birdie family...

Maddie, our border collie, enjoying the breeze on the porch...

Molly, poor thing. Although it's a pampered life to be an inside dog, she sure does see the grass as greener on the outside...

Arugula...

Seeds sprouting...

12 new raspberry bushes planted...

Blueberries...

Daddy and Lily enjoying a quad ride on a warm spring day...

Gosh, how fast these chicks have grown. Three weeks old...

Two more chicks arrived Monday. They look so tiny compared to this little "giants"!

We're enjoying this beautiful spring weather!

Have a blessed day!

Im green with envy! I want chickens so badly! I dont think we're allowed to have them though. RANDOM question, where did you get Lily's purple shoes? LOVE!

Last year is the first year I have used a raised bed... love, love, love them! Can't wait to see all of the goodies you plant.

I am also envious. I would love to have room for fruit trees and blueberries. Sadly, I must make do with my urban lot. But, God provides what we need when we are ready for it. I'm still praying for my mini-farm. Love your pictures and love your blog.
