Tea Parties, Glasses, and MRIs (Sounds exciting, huh?)...

This is one of those random posts. I've been so busy with life lately, that I really haven't had the chance to sit down and write a well-thought-out post. So instead you get this: a glimpse into our life as of late...

Lily recently turned six so we had a tea party for her and a few of her friends last week. Of course, it was all about pink and frills other girly things. They had fun...

Ian got glasses. He's been a little far-sighted for a year or so, but when I took him last week to the eye doctor, we found out it has gotten worse. He. was. devastated. However, we picked his glasses up yesterday, and he just told me this morning that he likes them because they make his eyes feel rested. Whew!

Also with Ian, if you could all say a prayer for him. I take him back to Children's Hospital at the beginning of April for another MRI. The spot that they had found on his brain a couple of years ago was still there on his last MRI last March (they thought that maybe it was just a shadow or artifact two years ago when he first had it done.) So, his neurologist wants him to get annual MRI's to make sure that there are no changes. I know God loves my little boy even more than I do, but sometimes it's hard not to worry. I'm sure all of you mamas know exactly what I'm talking about.

Today is a day of school lessons, laundry, and cleaning out the kids' clothing drawers. Then tonight my sisters and I are going out on our annual Valentine's date with our dad. He's such a sweetheart! He started this annual tradition four years ago (maybe longer, time goes so fast) and it's always so much fun. Us three girls always sit there and talk the whole time, and my poor dad just sits there and listens, probably most amused at our conversations. Fun time!

Oh, and don't forget that today is the last day to sign up for the $20 Dayspring giveaway. You can enter up until midnight tonight, and then I will randomly choose a winner tomorrow morning.

Blessings!

First, I notice a few milk glass "Lace Edge" pieces on your table there! I collect those serving dishes, too! Lovely :)

I'll pray for Ian! He looks just swell in his new glasses. My Eisley has been wearing glasses for over 6 months, now. She loves them. I'm the immature one who was upset about her wearing glasses (at first), but everyone compliments her on how cute she is with them on--I've learned to love them as much as she always has.

We'll definitely lift Ian up in our prayers this week regarding the MRI!

Amber, please tell Ian he is such a handsome young man in his new glasses! I love them! Also, he is being lifted up in our prayers. ((hugs)) I loved the tea party pics - just adorable. I so enjoy reading about your family - all of you, the ups and downs. Thank you for sharing your heart and life with us.

In Him~
