And so continues my love for the simplicity and practicality of mason jars...

This post really does not have much to do with mason jars. Only to emphasize again how much I really do use my shelves and shelves of jars. Mason jars are not just for canning anymore (although I do use them for that too.)

Rather this post is about herbs. Have any dried herbs left over from your herb garden? (Or perhaps you're one of those lucky gals who live in a climate that is conducive to a year-round herb garden...)

I dried my herbs in my dehydrator like crazy at the end of the summer with the intention of giving some as small gifts this Christmas. My parsley went strong until just about a month ago, so I was able to get a hefty amount of it.

Pour some into a mason jar, add a cute label, and a bit of twine, and you've got a cute little handmade gift. Perfect for the friend who enjoys cooking and will appreciate a good organic bit of herbs. : )

Have a most blessed day!

I love mason jars. I even bought bigger ones and we drink out of them all the time. I'm not a gardener, but this is a really cute idea. And very cute little labels too!
