When We Worship Together...

"Has it ever occurred to you that one hundred pianos all tuned to the same fork are automatically tuned to each other? They are of one accord by being tuned, not to each other, but to another standard to which each one must individually bow. So one hundred worshipers [meeting] together, each one looking away to Christ, are in heart nearer to each other than they could possibly be, were they to become 'unity' conscious and turn their eyes away from God to strive for closer fellowship."

Did you get that? One hundred (or more or less) worshipers gathered together, each looking to Christ in their hearts. Those worshipers, by tuning themselves to Christ, are close in heart to one another.

This is one of the things that I adore most about Christian women conferences. Without fail, at some point during the numerous conferences I have attended, there has always been a moment when I've looked around the arena and plainly thought, "wow."

There is something magnificent about how God is able to pull women from different states, ethnicities, colors, and religious backgrounds, and weld them into one heart as they lift their hearts and hands in praise to Him.

Can you imagine how this glorifies Him? Can you imagine how much He adores to see His precious daughters joining together in praise of Him? Can you imagine how pleased He is to see a multitude of His female creation coming together to learn and worship Him together. This must please Him immensely.

If God could get goosebumps, I bet He would while listening to a multitude of His daughters lifting their voices to Him in unison.
