We're Home!

Hello everyone! We're home. We got home on the 17th, actually. And then the very next night we ended up in the ER with our 6-year old son. Sunday night, he experienced one-sided facial paralysis and slurred speech as well as a severe headache and vomiting.

You can probably imagine what was going through this former-RN's mind. Stroke. Or TIA. After spending time in our local ER and a day at Children's Hospital, they ruled out stroke or a bleed. We take him next Tuesday to be tested for seizures and also a test for his heart. I also requested a Lyme's Disease test be run just to rule that out too.

So, you can probably imagine why I haven't had the time to post an update and let you all know that we're home. I'm just now starting to breathe, and, believe it or not, I'm just now starting to feel the jet lag wear off.

It's been a rough and exhausting last week, but I think we're finally starting to settle in. A little, anyway! We have a long way to go, but we're all doing pretty good. Ian and Sergei fight just like brothers. Love each other one minute and can't stand each other the next. And Lily is always delighted no matter what. :)

And I have airport homecoming photos, but they're on my dad's camera. I need to get those so I can share them with you all. It felt GREAT when that plane landed at our home airport. GREAT I tell ya!
Be blessed!

I am so sorry about Ian! I pray they find nothing serious. I had to chuckle when you mentioned the boys fighting. It didn't take them long to feel comfortable in the brother roles. Welcome home!

Welcome home & congrats! Your family is all together finally. So sorry to hear of Ians condition. Thank the Lord stroke or a bleed have been ruled out. I will keep Ian in my prayers. You sound like you need a little rest for your self. Take care of you too.

You are so amazing - your capacity inspires me!! Of course you know that you are so in God's will and plan with Sergei coming home - I guess the enemy had to try and test your patience with Ian's sickness - but I'm believing that Heaven will invade earth and complete healing will be his - nothing to be found - thank you Jesus!! So glad you're all home safe and sound!!

I am so glad you are home. I thought about you while you were away. So happy to hear the kids are acting normal and that your 6 year old is on the mend. That's a lot of drama!
