Introducing...

Jin! During our homestudy today, I asked our caseworker if I was allowed to post pics of Jin on my blog. I was so happy when she said yes because I've been wanting to share our little boy with our family and friends!

Experiencing Technical Difficulties...

Hello all! I haven't posted for a while because my desktop computer is obviously messing around with my blogger capabilities. My husband brought his laptop home today and I'm able to post from it. When I try to post on my desktop computer, blogger won't let me publish my posts.

Also, if I haven't been commenting on your blogs, it's because I haven't been able to access any of your recent posts. Again, it's obviously my desktop's problem. For the last week, I've been wondering why no one was posting anything and then I find out that it's my computer that is, for some reason, not updating my blog roll. Not only that, but it won't even let me access a bunch of the blogs I normally visit from any avenue - not from other blogs nor from google search. URGH!!!!

I don't know what's going on. I love technology until it doesn't work. Anyway, I need to get my tech-savvy hubby to investigate.

Just an adoption update...

We have two homestudies left - one Friday and then one next Tuesday. Once those are finished, we will find out if we receive final U.S. government approval. Once we receive approval, we will be able to apply for grants. Thank goodness! After I pay the homestudy fee next week, I will only have $37.00 left in our adoption fund. Ouch. But God provides, doesn't He? And we're trusting His provisions. But do keep us in your prayers, please.

Well, I'm afraid that until my desktop is fixed, I will be posting very few and far between. So until next time, God bless!

Singing Scripture

I just had to take a quick minute to recommend this wonderful tool for learning/teaching Scripture. Seeds Family Worship. These CD's are awesome. We actually heard them in concert at a local church and then Santa brought the kids three of the albums for C-mas. We have had a blast jamming to the songs, and we're learning Scripture too. Even my three-year-old is memorizing Scripture by listening to these funs songs. She's even got some of the references down!

Check out their website. You can even hear samples. We have the CD's on Purpose, Faith, and Courage. I LOVE the Courage album. Well, I love them all, but the Courage album has a bunch of high-energy songs that we can really jam to!

Oh, and an adoption update... We started our homestudy yesterday. We have one homestudy a week for the next two weeks. Then we'll be able to apply for grants and hopefully receive some financial assistance to help cover the cost of the adoption and travel to South Korea. We've also been able to get all of our clearances, medical exams, and fingerprinting done. Brad applied for his passport yesterday and I'm going tomorrow for mine! Oh, and we also found out that there is another family about an hour away that is also adopting a child from S. Korea. That's exciting!

Oh, and I'd like to just share a little bit about our little boy. His name is Jin-seok. He just turned two yesterday. :0) He has been with a foster family since birth. Jin (as we affectionately refer to him) has some special needs. He was born with radial-clubbed hands without thumbs. He also has congenital heart disease that seems to be getting better as he gets older.

I wish I could post a picture of this little sweetheart (I cannot due to privacy regulations.) He is so tiny and his little face melts my heart. I can't wait to get him and hold him. I think of him all the time! Brad and I feel so blessed that God has brought Jin into our lives. It's crazy to think of how much we already love him, and he doesn't even know we exist!
Take care!

Let me explain...

...my absence from blogland. Oh, and my apparent lack of creativity and house projects.

I've been very busy reading these...

...and filling out lots and lots of paperwork.
I'm so excited to tell everyone that we are in the process of adopting a sweet little two-year-old boy from South Korea. Oh, my soul delights when I think of it.
And this girl here has been super busy because we will be going to get our little blessing within the next 3-6 months, Lord-willing.
Please keep us in your prayers!

Happy New Year!

Hello all! What a wonderful holiday season we had here at our home! I took a laid-back, relaxed approach this year, and it was so much more enjoyable than our previous approach!

As I look forward to this new year, I see many possibilities as well as many unknowns on our horizon. However, regardless of what actually comes to be, our Lord is in control of it all.

Until next time,
Amber
