I just told my kids that I'm changing my name. It's no longer "mom". Ian asked me what my new name was, and I told him I wasn't telling anyone. That way I wouldn't have to hear my name being called in utter desperation every two minutes.
Anyone else relate?
(All the above typed with a thankful smile :o) on my face.)

I hear you, been there, said that many times! Still keeping your situation in my prayers.

Excellent!!
ROFL! I have said this many times as well! :)
Oh, relate? Yes...it was particularly bad one year when I taught Kindergarten and *all day* I would get "Mrs. R, Mrs. R," only to come home and get "Momma, Momma," and "Honey, Honey...." I think I might have actually screamed that night. LOL!
LOL! This is too funny! (And a little too close to home, since I have five children!) Nice to meat you, by the way, I saw your comment on Home Sanctuary. Definitely stop in again...we have so much fun there!
Blessings!

Hi Amber, Thanks for stopping in at Home Sanctuary! I've just sent you an email, and I hope to see you around! You've got a beautiful blog here!
Yes, I have so "been there." I always tell my oldest that I've changed my name...it's not Mom anymore...it's Lucy. Lucy was the first name that popped into my head when I started to say this to her. She just laughs at me now :-)
So funny. I can totally relate! I tell my kids I have changed my name all the time.
Ha! That cracks me up. Sometimes when I'm curled up on the couch in the middle of a chick flick I tell my son I'm "off duty"...he's 14 though so I don't think you can really consider that neglect :).
Hey, thanks for stopping by my blog! Yep, I'm a Hobby Lobby girl. I have so many of those bags around it's crazy :).
I totally remember my mom doing that. I think she got so sick of us trying to guess what her new name was that she'd end up just giving in. It's funny how we can't wait for our kids to talk and say mom or dad, but by about 3 years old, you'd like to change it!
